Why Was the APSSB Final Result 2026 Revised?

APSSB issued the revised final result after considering a genuine grievance submitted by a candidate bearing Roll No. 1054288.

The candidate belongs to the APST category and was eligible for the One Time Age Relaxation (OTR) benefit. However, the OTR status was not declared in the online application form, resulting in the candidate being left out of the previous result.

The Board subsequently considered the grievance and revised the final result.

The revision also affected some candidates because different posts have different physical standards and candidates had exercised multiple post preferences.

Candidates with Roll Nos. 1040481, 1047835 and 1022529, who had been disqualified in the PET/PST for Post Code 9/26 (Constable Civil Police Male), were delisted from that post code.

As a result, some changes were made in post-code preferences and candidates were added to the waitlist in the revised final result.

APSSB Final Result 2026 – Unfilled Vacancies

The official result notice explains that some vacancies could not be filled because suitable eligible candidates were not available at different stages of the selection process.

  • 23 APST and 1 UR vacancy in Constable Band, IRBn – Post Code 5/26
  • 2 APST vacancies in Constable Bugler, IRBn – Post Code 6/26
  • 13 UR vacancies in Constable Civil Police Female – Post Code 8/26

These vacancies remained unfilled because eligible candidates were not available during stages such as Document Verification, PST, PET, Trade Test and Medical Fitness Test. In some cases, candidates had also not exercised preference for the relevant post code in their applications.

Therefore, the Board has stated that waitlists have not been maintained for these specific vacancies.
