How to Apply for UPSC CMS 2026

1. Visit the Official UPSC Website: Go to the official site Union Public Service Commission and navigate to the “Examinations” section to find the CMS 2026 notification.
2. Register Online: Click on “Apply Online”, fill in your basic personal details like name, date of birth, and contact information to complete the registration process.
3. Fill the Application Form: Enter all educational, personal, and professional details accurately. Upload scanned copies of your MBBS certificate, photograph, signature, and any other relevant documents such as caste certificate (if applicable).

Selection Process for UPSC CMS 2026

The selection begins with a written examination (objective type) conducted by UPSC, consisting of two papers – Paper I: General Medicine (250 marks) and Paper II: Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics, and Preventive & Social Medicine (250 marks), totaling 500 marks. Candidates who qualify in the written exam are called for a Personality Test / Interview, which assesses overall suitability for government medical service. Marks obtained in the interview are added to the written exam scores to prepare the final merit list. Selection is made based on combined scores and available vacancies, with consideration of category reservations.

Finally, all selected candidates must undergo medical fitness tests and document verification before appointment.
