Pay Scale & Allowances – IB ACIO Grade-II (Technical)

  • Pay Level: Level-7 as per 7th Pay Commission
  • Pay Matrix: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400
  • Allowances: Eligible for all admissible Central Government allowances such as DA, HRA, TA, etc.
  • Special Security Allowance: @ 20% of Basic Pay, in addition to regular government allowances
  • Holiday Duty Compensation: Cash compensation for duties performed on holidays, subject to a maximum limit of 30 days per year

Eligibility Criteria – IB ACIO Grade-II (Technical)

Candidates must have qualified GATE 2023 / 2024 / 2025 in Electronics & Communication (EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (CS) and possess one of the following qualifications from a Government-recognized institution:

  • B.E / B.Tech in Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science & Engineering

Selection Process – IB ACIO Grade-II (Tech)

  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on their GATE 2023, 2024, or 2025 scores. Up to ten times the number of vacancies will be called for the next stages of selection.
  • Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Skill Test, which will be practical and technical in nature and related to the job profile.
  • After the Skill Test, candidates will be called for an Interview. The interview will assess the candidate’s subject knowledge in the relevant field and communication skills.
  • The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance in the GATE score, Skill Test, and Interview, strictly according to the number of vacancies available.
  • A waiting list will also be prepared to fill future vacancies, as per Government of India rules.
  • The maximum marks under the selection process are 1175, which include 750 marks for GATE score, 250 marks for Skill Test, and 175 marks for Interview.
