The recruitment is being conducted for approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies for Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Data Entry Operator (DEO) and DEO Grade ‘A’ posts.
The SSC CHSL 2026 online application process has started on 07 September 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications online until 07 October 2026 at 11:00 PM. The last date for online fee payment is 08 October 2026.

Candidates who have passed Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University can apply for most of the posts. For certain DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts, candidates must have passed Class 12th in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.

The salary for SSC CHSL posts is based on the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix.

The SSC CHSL selection process consists of the following stages:

There is negative marking in the prescribed sections of Tier-II.
